That chrome piece screws off, tap it with a screw driver and then you can screw it off by hand. Then the base will come off, just don't lose the wire down into the fender.

Been busy this weekend! Truck got her first oil change, next Ill switch to synthetic! Got my garage peg board all organized and even went on a tool shopping spree! Also got the 5" tips, should be getting these put on tomorrow!!

What did those 5" tips run ya? I took my OEM to powder coat. Had them for 2 days, truck looked silly without the tips there, lol.

She's lookin' good. Buying tools is almost as bad as moddin' your truck. I have 2 stand up boxes so full I can't get anymore in them. Think I need a bigger box, lol.

$135 shipped! Kind of pricey, but I think its worth it. It kind of sounds better without the tips on lol! Now just to decide on weather or not to cut off the resinators??

Yeah we recently moved into our first house, so I had to get my tool collection up..not to mention lawn mower, weed eater, blower, chain saw etc..I went to lowes on this most recent spree and spent $200 in just hand tools lol!

Go the tips on today! My local muffler shop I usually go to fabbed up some adapters, for a total out the door price of $60! Heck it would have been $72 just to buy adapters! It came out great, I love these tips!

Did you notice a difference in sound with those tips? I've heard it changes it a little and I've heard people say it made no difference. Truck is looking good.
