So after some expressed interest Im finally getting around to posting this build thread. Gonna do the best I can to list everything I can think of I've done so far. I still have so much more I want to accomplish with this truck but this is how she sits for now and I will add as I go.

My hunt for a wagon all stemmed from me wrecking my Lifted 2017 1500 Sport in the fall of 2018. My initial thought was to buy the most capable truck i could so in my mind "wouldn't have to mod". By chance i found a used 2017 with 1800mi on the odometer for 42k I jumped all over it.

Brought her home and the first week I put in 55w HIDs, morimoto fogs and Go rhino side steps

Next Mod was 17x9 +18mm XD addict 2s with 35x12.5 Nitto Trail Graps. My first "offroad trip" happened right after. I was hooked immediately..

Next few mods were pretty low key and simple.
Factor 55 ultrahook, 20" Auxbeam lightbar, and sub woofer, using a oem woofer box.

The summer of 2019 all the bigger mods started flowing in 37" cooper stt pros,Thuren Front track bar, Thuren leveling springs, Fox 2.0 shocks, Victory 4x4 bed rack with rotopax, xbull recovery boards and ARB Awning. Go rhino SRM 60" roof rack with custom mounted pelican boxes and (6) 3" rigid D series lights, quick fist mounts for a axe / shovel and centramatic balancers.

The following fall of 2019 i added a few more necessities. Maple offroad sliders, Abel components locker bypass, A.R.E synthetic winch line, factor 55 fairlead with custom adapter blocks i machined.

In winter of 2020 I installed a Thuren rear track and synergy draglink. In april i ordered my thuren King 2.5s. Shortly after i went on my first official wheeling trip with @IRSmart and a few guys from the PW registry. It was there i realized i needed a few more things to feel more confident on the trails in rausch creek offroad park in PA. So a Dethloff skid plate , AEV raised air intake and gmrs radio were installed

In July my Kings finally came along with a few dash navigation mods(8" tablet abd garmin inreach). I also added some cjc reservoir armor to my rear kings and extended all my breathers.

This is pretty much how she currently sits with the exclusion of a rotopax storage box i just added on the rack, patagonia 37s and a abel components sway bar bypass.

I still have so much more i need/want to do but with our second child just arriving, a wrist surgery, and covid jacking up my overtime stuff will probably have to wait till spring. My future mods are looking to be maple rear skid, thuren rear springs/end links and a HCC bumper are on the short list.

I have a ton of thanks for this rig irsmart, Don Thuren, Neil @ maple offroad, Marcus Dethloff, Mike Key, George @ 8 lug truck gear, David @ abel components and a ton of others for answering all my dumb questions.
Sorry this has been long winded...lol Stay tuned for more in the spring [emoji869]

haha, yup he's a Mal. He's pretty laid back as far as Mals go. Still has good drive though and very protective of the famiky but not psychotic...lol My buddy has his brother and he'll try to bite you as soon as look at you

ok so I've had trail grapplers on the last three trucks and for no other reason other than an I wanted white letters and I liked the look of the STT pros, I went with them for this truck. I kind hate them in the winter. What are your thoughts on the trail grapplers vs the stt pros seeing you've had them both. As of right now I want my trail grapplers back.

Other than my coopers not balancing worth a damn i actually liked them better. The nittos i did not care for on wet black top at all. At times they felt down right scary taking turns on wet roads. Offroad they were awesome. I loved how my coopers performed and they wore outstanding but the out of balanced killed me so i swapped em out for the milestars. Only have had the milestars for 2500 mi but so far i gotta say i like em

Hell yeah man. And you don’t have to ever thank me for answering questions, it doesn’t take much to get me to start talking about trucks. I asked questions too. That’s the life cycle of a forum. You ask questions, become one of the elders with the answers, and then answer the questions for the new guys. Circle of life!

My coopers seemed to balance ok. I dunno I'm not 100 percent sold on them. Creature of habit I guess. Wish I had 10 g's to toss at my truck. We just bought 60 acres so some FKIN citiot didn't buy it. We don't need any neighbors at our hunting cabin. Seeing we did that it pushed some other stuff back. I'll see. Maybe next summer i'll swap back to the grapplers.

Ive read a few people having issues with them balancing but not a ton. I had them road forced twice and both shops told me the same thing that one of the tires was always needing s ungodly amount of weight.

Id take 60 acres over truck mods any day! I live in suburbia Maryland about 40 minutes Northeast of Baltimore in a townhouse. MD is crazy expensive for land anywhere under a 2 hr drive from where i work
