got rear ended today

So I was waiting to pull into a parking space at a gas station and then out of no where this honda minivan comes out of nowhere and *bam* slammed into the back of the truck

Gotta goto the body shop tomorrow

Only damage is the drivers side bed everything else seems ok

On the plus side either way I found the same color blue bed side for $300 at a salvage yard

Your insurance company should be tearing that tool apart. They would have a great burden of proof to try to pull something that ridiculous.

Looking at my estimate in which they just repaired the bedside and tailgate this is what i got.

repair bedside 7 hrs labor and 3.2hrs paint
rough pull bedside was 2 hrs.

7+9=16 hrs body labor @$46.00 hr = $736
3.2 hrs paint labor @ $46.00 hr = $147.20 totaled $883.20

but from the pictures your tailgate was damaged too.
so add &hrs to repair gate 7X $46.00=$322.00 totaled so far was $1205.20.
that's not adding the cost of the decals and labor to replace them.

they were able to just pull the bedside. i tried to get them to replace the bedside but refused...said it could be repaired.

sorry it took so long...had a lot of crap going on around here...anymore questions just ask.
