Disconnect the switch, pulling fuses may not find the problem. Pull the dash panel off and unplug the switch in the dash.

I did try that. I was saying I did the fuses separate.
Does anyone having a wiring diagram for this part of the harness. Or for the grounds around this area. Or even know where the ground in this picture goes to.
For tonight I'm done. I'm going to get my friend over and were going to try to work it out, without my dad home. He's been wasting my time to be honest, I just don't want to tell him that. Lol.

Yeah I never found the source of the voltage leak. But when I installed my HIDs it kinda got around the problem. Because on the bulbs that come in those head lights ground out through the projector housing and it jumps to the halos. But on the HID bulbs the power goes directly through the bulbs, meaning it doesn't get to the halo so they dont come on. if that makes any sense lol.

To my knowledge, the problem is in the wiring of the truck. Not the halos fault. The halos just highlight the issue.

Oh, well, I don't doubt that considering you've half-rebuilt the entire truck. :laughing1:

Coincidence me thinks. Since I had the problem with both. But more in the driver's side. And his is just the passenger side

Did you ever figure this out? I have the exact same problem. I bought the Spec-d halo headlights. With my lights off I have a glow on the halos. Everything else on the lights work the way they should......its just the glow when the lights are off.

The way the headlights are designed, power can go through the low or high beam bulb into the metal inside the light, go through the halos, then ground out through your ground for the halos. Apparently a voltage leak is common on these trucks. After I upgraded my lights to HIDs, the new bulbs were designed differently so the power went directly through the bulb rather than into the metal housing. So you can either do that, or try finding the voltage leak. I never could find it.

Thanks for the quick reply. Wish I would have looked more into this before I bought the lights. Id rather not buy another set if I cant figure anything out ill just leave the halos disconnected.

I left my truck for two weeks, never cranked it up. It caused no problems. So really if you want you can just leave it. It won't drain your battery. Another possible solution might be to buy new bulbs, that have wires going directly to and from them rather than grounding through the metal. Not sure how much regular H1 bulbs cost but it can't be more than the HIDs were.

I am not the smartest person when it comes to electrical stuff. But if I put in a resistor on the high and low beam cables will it stop the glow? If I unplug those two cables the halos work like they are suppose to.

I got my hd halos from pro tuning lab, what ******* scumbags they are!!!!!!!!!! My first set leaked, even after silicon was applied. Pro tuning lab made me pay for the second set up front, another $200. They charged me $40 shipping, had to be called(30 minute wait on hold) to email the RMA then after the second set would not work I have to return both sets. They charge a 20% restocking fee. What a waste of time, effort and money!!!!!! AVOID THIS GARBAGE! I finally orderd oem headlines and they work perfectly and were $137 for a set. RELIEF!!!!!!!!!!!

I would highly recommend not buying these headlights either. I have only had them for a couple months and already one bulb has blown and the LED lights on the other unit has quit working. Plus the plastic housing that bolts to the truck broke on both headlights on installation.

The Sport headlights are about the best upgrade there is for these trucks.
