The heater control is stuck on cold. Does anyone know what is going on here?

does the truck have a/c? usually you can flip down the glove box and access the heater control lever on the heater box. if it is stuck then it might be a bit tough to move it with a set of small locking pliers but it will start moving pretty good eventually. if you ever clean the box out you can clean and grease all the moving parts and make it move real smoothly.

On the glove box. do I have to remove the glove box to get to the heater control?

no you don't have to. you just have to press down on the center at the back to get it to flip down far enough to get behind the glovebox. you may want to empty your glovebox first tho since there is a possibility of dumping everything on the floor.

no problem. i don't know if wd40 is a permanent solution but a guess at least you know where to look if you have any problems in the future.

WD40 is great for getting rusty parts unstuck, but grease it up with a good automotive grease too. The WD40 will dry off and stop providing any lubricity.
