I just broke the bolts free from the nut. Mine nut had a triangle on it.(That's just wrong) Not sure what the term for it is. Take the bolts out and wrestle the shock out of place. WATCH YOUR FINGERS.
Put the top bolt in and nut on. Then place a wrench on the bottom for a spacer. Aim the bottom of the shock and cut the tie. If you did good you will land on the wrench. Grab a bolt and try to get the holes lined up. If the shock extends all the way you will have to force it back up.

Not sure what type of suspension you have. IFS or Coil Over?

Was thinking of link/coil suspension--------------------^

Gibby, I think you would be better off watching some youtube video's on the install. I think explaining the process would only make it more difficult.

Unless you've installed an aftermarket lift you won't have the coilovers, just shocks. And IFS just means independent front suspension it's what all 1500's have regardless of what you've installed

this is what I did. I also took all the strut bolts off as well. I think I can use a bar to pull the shock upwards to clear the LCA. Whats everyones opinion.front shock.jpg

Take the brake caliper off, and remove the sway bar link. You should be able to get it out. Have a buddy stand on it and push down if needed.
