Ok, i am new here. This is my first post. I have a 2018 Ram 1500. 3.92 gears. 5.7 Hemi. 8 spd trans Obviosly. Currently, i have rough country 6" suspension lift, 35's. 2inch wheel spacers with factory chrome wheels. I want to add a 3" body lift with a 3" wheel spacer and run 38's. I dont wanna cut anything, and i like my factory wheels. Will 38s fit with 6" sus lift and 3inch body lift with 3 inch wheel spacer. Keep in mind i do not drive this everyday, and it does NOT go off roading. Its just driven around town. I just want it to look good.

thicker spacers would most likely make it rub worse.
The reason for the spacers is to keep the tire from rubbing where the upper ball joint is. Ill need them only for the reason to keep it away from it.

Im running 35x12.50r18 Yokohama X-MTs with a mopar level kit with no issues...Im definitely not a fit expert but with the right wheel offset I can't imagine not being able to fit 38s

With 9” of lift I don’t think you’ll have any clearance issues. I can’t imagine needing 3” of spacer just to clear the UCA, 2” should be more then enough. What does your clearance to the UCA look like with your current setup? For the sake of the rest of us on the road, at least use quality brand spacers like Bora.

You’ll definitely be fine with 38s, that’s loads of room.

Perfect, i do see a good deal on 39x13.50. What's your thoughts on that size?

Yea unless you go with a wide tire like 15.5” or more than you should be fine with the current spacers.

I read through the posts fast and didn't see anything about Regearing for the 38" tires.

35" tires, you might get away without changing the gear ratio but 38's... the power loss and MPG will change and not for the better.

Adding Spaces... spacers add width, spacers add area needed to turn the tire within the fender wells and the biggy... Spacers add stress to the front end system; wheel bearing, ball joints will suffer.

Body Spacers, they add spacing... but that is about it. They require modding other parts to adjust for the movement of the body upward and add stresses to the body mounting hardware; no one ever mention that one.
IMHO, replace the wheels with one that allow for the UBJ spacing then trimming for wheel/tire clearance in the wheel well with just take some trial and error cutting.
Trying to make parts do what it wasn't designed to do, is another step in "Doing It Right The First Time" !

Good Luck on your choices !

Here it is boys. 6inch rough country suspension lift, 3 inch body lift, 2 inch wheel spacers. It all fit didnt rub but it was to close for comfort so i trimmed next to nothing just in case. Now if i were out 4 wheeling i dont advise it itll prob rub full flexed but atreet driving NO problems. These are 39x13.50x20s

Truck looks good, did you re-gear both diffs ?
Have you checked the MPG yet, what was it and what is it now ?
How does the truck feel, do you feel that you have lost any power ?

Sorry for the questions... just curious !

I had 3.92 gears from factory. It really doesnt seem to bad power wise i did lose a little. Im @ a 12 mph average when driving at 75mph which is really closer to 84mph speedo is off some. I never checked my fuel mileage before but my cousin has the same truck same gears all stock ill ask him what his is.
