Can someone recommend a decent high lift floor jack that works well with the Ram 1500.... My 3 ton craftsman just doesn't seem to have the lift height I need.

I've always used a couple of pieces of 2x4 screwed together...not sure how safe it really is, but you should be using quality stands anyway...

I also needed a higher lift jack when we got the truck. Doing shopping, I found 3 ton jack lifts ranged from 18-22 1/2". I went the 22 1/2" route:waytogo:

Yeah, that's what I think I need. At least 20+ inches of lift. Where did you find the one you bought?

I just one these Friday from Harbor Freight(eek!). It is heavy, weighs in at 115lbs! It works awesome though, it raises up to almost 24" from less than 3".21-harbor-freight-low-profile-high-rise-jack-front.jpg

That's a photo I found online, I would never trust a jack alone. Just an example how high it goes.

Where are you lifting at? If you lift under the axle or A -arms you should not have any problems with lift height, as long as the jack can handle the weight of the truck.
I have a 05Jeep Rubicon with 35's and a 6" lift, and the factory bottle jack works fine for lifting the Jeep under the axles, lifting at the frame that's another story.....

I have this jack as well, it works awesome. I use it for my truck and mini cooper. Additionally, HF has 3 ton jack stands that I use which of course is always suggested.
