I actually just picked mine up from the dealer. Installed it in no time.

Just replaced the class 3 that I got for free from the dealer and replaced with the class 4 from Amazon. I bought a travel trailer and quickly learned that the class 3 is not strong or heavy enough to be used with a weight distribution hitch. The moral is put on a class 4 it's beefier and you'll be prepared when you tow something heavier or like what already stated you'll have piece of mind when you're towing lighter

I was in a similar boat. I just bought my truck and tow my race car around the midwest. I wound up taking a change buying the Ram Class IV part number 55298274AD.

Fit right in no problems. Just had to remove the bumper. Unbolt the factory hitch that didn't have the receiver and bolt the new one on. Took about an hour after work.
