There are way too many variables at play here, the first one being geography. I guess folks in Virginia will be way more knowing of the price range in your neck of the woods.

Yeah i understand that im just kind of curious of what people would pay. I don't know if I could get rid of it. The truck runs great and has never really given me any issues

When I shop and sell, I use the blue book as my guide and adjust up or down accordingly.

Yours "looks" nice so you can ask more, and probably get more than book from a young kid looking for bling or an off roader.

However you alienate the standard truck market with the mods and worry homework shoppers like me with additional questions like "has it been off road? Who did the install? Does it affect stock performance or warranty? " etc. Those answers may scare thorough buyers off depending on your response.

Use blue book, and consider who your target buyers are and write your ad for them.

Good luck.

I was going to trade my truck in last night, the dealer offered me half of kbb trade in. It's a huge kick to the shin when that happens.

The visual/ performance stuff add 0 to the truck if your trading it in. I would try to sell

As stated, mods generally deduct from the truck's value. But if you find that one buyer who understands the mods and wants them he might give you a little extra for them. Dealers will generally charge you to return it to stock. IMO, keep the truck...

Virginia is proud of its trucks, especially in Hampton roads area.

Yeah i found a place in va that had a 2015 2500 6.4 crew cab for 35k. That's what got me thinking of getting rid of mine. But i can't talk myself into putting it up for sale right now

A lot of it has to do with what you want to replace it with. Do you need a heavy duty truck?

Thanks for the advice but i think i have talked myself into keeping it for now

Same here man

I was itchin to buy a new 2500 but thought about losing all the $$$ I have into my current truck and decided to keep it. When it's paid off I'll go buy a new one and have both.

I dont see anything wrong with asking 17-18k honestly. Im asking 21.5 for my 09 that has aftermarket warranty. I realized mine books for 20,900 but with the warranty and mods I asked more, but obviously would take less. I dont always go by book, KBB isnt the best I use NADA and even then I dont always go by that, look to see what others like yours are going for and adjust it from there. Nice looking truck
