How to find type/brand of tune used on 5.9L 24V

Have a 2007 3500. I am told it has a tune because of smoke produced when you get on it. I would like to figure out type/brand of tune. Do I go to dealer?

I could blow black smoke out of my tail pipe of my stock 06 5.9 CTD, anyway from what I have read its not easy to find out what tune has been installed in the truck, that is why the pervious owner should have reset it back to stock before selling it or including all of the tune info and any equipment needed to run it.

All a dealer would do is flash it back to stock. If the emissions are deleted, a dealer may not want to touch it. Flashing a deleted truck back to stock will cause issues.

What i would do is try to avoid the dealerships.

I would try to find a handy shop where they specialize in Mopars,
Maybe call or go to a speed shop to get some garage names
