To any newbies, as mentioned take many many pics and play with the settings. I personally think the camera and lenses make a difference but everyone has their own opinion so I am fine with that. Each to their own i always say.

Now for the absolutely biggest tip I can give anyone getting into photography HAVE FUN!

I agree on the camera and lens difference. The quality of the glass in the lens is what makes it sharp and clear. But that being said you can get decent stuff for $300 to $600.

Took the kid out, with the camera.
Mostly scouting sites for taking pics of a buddy's 1969 SS Chevelle.

Snapped this one and liked it.

I'm no professional photographer or anything but I take pics with 2 rules in mind...

1. Have a good eye and plan the scene. Pick a great background, good lighting and don't be afraid to get down low or up high for a different perspective. Turn your front wheel to face the camera for a good look.

2. Pay attention to details in the scene. Don't leave wash buckets or hoses in the pic. Even dirty pavement detracts from a nice photo. Chose your location with details in mind.

Get out there and have some fun snapping pictures!
