Question for you boys who have the in-channel Ventshades, does the tape stick to the velvet in-channel liner or does it go between the door metal and the rubber window liner?

Did you do the scotch pad and prep pad as well?

On a new truck I don't think you would need to to the scotch pad prep but it can't hurt

I just wasn't sure it would stick to the velvet. I guess the scotch pad will smooth it out some. Ok, thanks guys. I'm gonna go git-r-done. Pics will follow

no problem. yeah it seems kinda weird to stick it to that but I have them on two trucks with no problems. Just gotta keep the windows up for about 24 hours to ensure good adhesion.

It is done! Love mods that only take 15 minutes.

I did have a little trouble with the fronts because the far front flange doesn't have tape and it was contacting the window and causing the window to roll back down. Had to hold it while rolling the window up so it would seat properly.

I had a set of in-channels on an 08 F150. I noticed more road noise after the install. Do ya'll notice a change in cabin noise on the Rams?

Sounded the same. No difference in noise.

Wow - I was only able to install 3 out of 4 of these on my truck before breaking one. Congrats on the install! In-channel is definitely the way to go IMO

That's the side I had the window contact on. I got it to work but i'll find out for sure tomorrow when I roll down the windows and try to roll them back up. I did find out today that I literally live 5 miles from their home base.

I hope it works - I'm sure it should be okay after sitting through the night. I had these in my '97 and they NEVER moved for the 13 years I owned that truck:

My passanger side hits just slightly. Might try to shimmy a piece of double sided tape in there to hold it better. Hopefully I don't create more work for myself:Grenade:
