So I popped the grill off this afternoon to see where I can install these new lights... was disappointed to see that there is a weld/seam on the brace I wanted to use which means the bracket will sit too close to the edge.
Any suggestions as to where to mount them?
Thanks in advance!

what if you put it on the front face of that support?

Its been a while since I've handled the D2s, but I think.....that it would work that way.

I tried that too but then it sits too low and half the light is blocked by the grill.
Thanks!

Started snowing too hard so it'll have to wait for now.

Mount them on tabs out by the mirrors! (Kidding, for the love of god, don't do that!)

There is plenty of room there to mount em. Seam be damned!

Haha by the mirrors would be handy! Handles on them to aim.

The only issue with putting them where I am holding the bracket in that pic is that the nut and washer goes below and the curve of that brace looks like it'll be in the way from the washers sitting flat. Has anyone mounted that type of bracket there?

Just make an L-shaped bracket that bolts onto the front of that support and wraps over the top of it. Then you can control the height and how far forward or back it's mounted.

That's a good idea! Thanks!
I'll check for brackets.

Lots of room yes. The issue was where to mount the bracket to. I found some old L shaped brackets from an old elevator that I will try using. Should do the trick!

Nice. I've picked up some Rigid Dually's and some D2's for my truck... was going to try and figure out if I could mount them in the factory fog location. Something like how they do in the Raptor, just vertically.

Drill your holes where you want them, cut some square rubber pieces. Drill holes through the rubber to match your brackets.
Put the rubber in between the brackets and the welds rubber will compensate.
problem solved.

I have a 20" LED bar mounted on that bracket, me and my brother just took a grinder to that seam to level it out where we needed to drill, then it worked perfectly
