Just bought 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT in northern Canada. I’m just cleaning up the vehicle due to mud & rust. I found wires sticking out from round parts. Vehicle did not come with manual(just ordering one from Amazon). I don’t know what those and how serious these issues are. I have no trouble riding.

I would take your vehicle to an honest shop that works on Air Bags

I don't see any critical cracks, but the images are not the best

Airbag? I’m planning to take it to local Kal-tire for general inspection. I will ask them about these & airbag.

Well, I thought the same. I will take my truck to the shop for inspection soon. Very hard to travel….

Thought you mean “air bag” as air bag that pops out when vehicle hit something. I understand it’s air suspension….
it has tubes sticking out to rear bumper for pumping air. I’d like to remove it and switch to normal spring suspension before winter comes (my place gets pretty cold below -40). Is removing air suspension same as normal suspension? Should I remove tubes as well?

Suspension type Air Bags are usually used to assist the spring load
On Semi Trucks, they don't use springs much any more, they just have Air Bags

On pickup trucks they are like helpers to the springs

I see. Air suspension is just addition to stock suspension. I might just leave it then If that does not cause any issue. My friends were warning me that if it gets cold (-30-40) it could freeze up and ride can be very rough.
