Just curious, who has a last year model 2022 regular cab short bed? Ram ended the classics production of the short bed according to my dealer. We are the minority now. Would love some pics and stories on why this truck?
Well guess I will be cutting 2' of bed off then

Are those wheels finished in dark chrome? They look super on your truck!
Yes. Called black chrome (PVD). Bought them from Detroit wheel & tire. They are like the 5 spoke chrome rims that came on some 3rd gen Rams. Had a set on my 05 Ram in chrome. Bought in black to match the paint.

Anyone installed tow hooks on the front? Can’t for the life of me figure out why ram would not install these on a 4wd.
I come across this post a while back and used it to have some brackets made locally.

Thread 'Finally installed tow hooks on my sport, pics.'
https://www.ramforum.com/threads/finally-installed-tow-hooks-on-my-sport-pics.160533/

Post #13 has pics of the brackets and how the holes are cut out in the bumper filler piece.
I bought the hooks with hardware off eBay. They came black. I sanded and painted the tips Craftsman Red
.

LOL. Easier to shorten the frame and buy a used bed (sb).

I saw a 3/4 ton GM (OBS truck) which was shortened. Looked nice!

It was too easy. Can't remember the exact cost, did it a few years ago. I did purchase them from a dealership, they came w/directions and torque specifications. The installation of the hooks themselves took all of about 7mins! The longest/hardest part was nothching out the plastic inserts(20mins/each). I marked the inserts prior to removing them. Then I drilled a hole so I could use a jigsaw, some light sanding. They turned out great. You could try the junkyard, you'd have to find the right year in regards to your bumper. Good luck.

Not shortened but love me an OBS. Unkillable.

Not a short bed but always dreamed of owning a four door 2500 OBS. Getting rare now.

Tow Hooks don't really fit well, when you have the Sports style front bumper.

I should have had my Sports style bumper, tow hook cut outs, opened up a bit on the bottom, before painting it.

The body shop, mounted the tow hooks backwards, because of clearance issues

I'm a rcsb kind of guy. Here are the two I own. A 2011 black 4x4 and the 2012 red 2wd. Plan to keep them both for as long as I can.

I'm honestly kind of surprised they're doing away with the RC's. Idk what the actual sales numbers are but I see a ton of RCSB Fords running around. Lots of hopped up Coyote Ford and Hemi Ram RCSBs around me

I would have purchased a single cab, if i did not need a back seat for my map books, invoice books, laptop, suitcases, traffic control gear, etc. etc.
I basically use my truck as an office & when my phone rings at the house, i don't know if i will be back home that day, or a week or two later
