Yes, as Bubs said, 2nd Gen 1/2 tons had Dana 44's in the front and 9.25's in the rear. Ram was last to go to IFS, happened in 02 with torsion bars, then in 06 went to struts.

Hard to believe now that I think about it. Last GM to have a SA in a half ton was 87. Ford was 79.

Your pictures have me looking at 2nd gens! What suspension mods do you have?

Currently it's a 3" BDS lift with 35" tires, when these pictures were taken the sway bar in the front was disconnected. In the first picture with the rock, the sway bar was connected. Gives you an idea of what disconnecting it does.

I have a 5" BDS sitting in my garage awaiting paint and install within the next few weeks. In that kit I'm going to modify some JKS quick disconnects to fit with the sway bar.

Yeah, got tired of seeing this rock and not doing it haha. It was like it was set up for it. The side I went up has a slanted rock that leads up to the bigger one. It is perfect haha.

Very first picture taken of truck. Probably the first and last time it will ever leave pavement..... Except for my visiting family who live in a dirt road.

I flex to yesterday I pulled into the driveway diagonally while washing her and then I parked in the garage diagonally.

That's it for me she's too nice to be anything other than a garage queen right now. Maybe after a few years I feel little different

A few new ones of mine when I went offroading with some friends last month. Need some sway bar disconnects to get it to really flex though. Keeps the front end far too solid with them hooked up.

I think it is more from the stiff springs than the sway bar. My 1500 flexed infinitely better than my 2500 with the sway bar still connected and that was an ifs truck.
