Whats best leveling kit/size. Im figuring i need either 2.5" or 3". I was looking on ebay and there are a bunch and price vary. Im not looking to cheap out and get crappy material. What do u pros recommend ?

Someones's bound to chime in with the "should post this on the lifted section" but anyways, I'd recommend the bilstein 5100's, they have the best feedback, and won't harm the ride of the truck at all

Bilstein 5100 Adjustable front shocks. Can be set 0-2.8", better ride and can be used if you ever get a lift put in

i would not get any kit that says 3". There is a reason the reputable name companies only got up to 2.5" leveling kit. To go more you would be maxing your cv angles which would not be good. As stated you can get the bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks to level the front, but if money is an issue check out our vendor hell bent steel for their leveling kits.

Is it a 2" level or a 2.5" level that sits the 2012 1500 4X4 level?

The spacers are considerably cheaper. I ordered my 2.5" spacer from hell bent steel for like $80.00.

Bilstiens are the better option
Like said don't go above 2.5"
How much lift you need is different truck to truck. Measure from the center of your wheel to the lip of the wheel well in the front and back, the difference will be what you need

There is. Leveling kits can be hard on front end components and cause premature where of parts(ball joints) and there is a chance of a driveline vibration when using 4wd because of the change in axle/driveshaft geometry

This will be the fourth full-sized pickup I will be leveling [soon].

I've ALWAYS used Hell Bent leveling kits [and always with aftermarket 20" X 9" rims and MT tires] and have NEVER had a problem of any sorts.

The ride has ALWAYS been comparably to OEM.

All right so now I am intrigued! So now tell me this.........if I wanted to level my truck the correct way, how should I do it, how much am I looking @ and would I have to change CV joints or anyother part to go along? Also does a level where out or be expected to be redone after a certain amount of time?

Has anyone used the Hell Bent Steel 2.5" leveling kit on their 2012 yet? I'm really concerned about how it will ride compared to stock with the kit but my biggest worry is any vibrations it may cause.

From what I've gathered, there are no 2012 leveling kits. At least for 2WD.
