Well, I drive a 2003 dodge ram 1500 hemi and this summer is the time for it to under go a makeover. My question is should I go with a 6 inch lift on 35's or do a level with 32's? does anyone have any before and after pictures? And how did it affect your fuel economy? If I go with a level and a bigger tire how much will my mileage go down? Its not like thats a factor on my decision to do this to my truck or not cause its happening crappy mileage or not lol but I'm just wondering. I was thinking a level is a cheaper route slap the level on with the bigger tires but how much of a noticeable difference is it?

I did the 3" Rough Country suspension lift...made a world of difference in the looks. I am running 265/70R17s right now, and they look a bit small to me...

I lifted with a 5" rough country suspension, and my fuel milage went down about 2-3, and i have 325's on it (about 34.6") and the dealership couldn't recalibrate the speedo because it was outside the stock tire sizes, so its at 10.4 now, I need to get some pics up and update my thing, so I'll try to post some in the next few days. When my speedo reads about 66 I'm going 70, when it reads 42-43 I'm going 45 and when it reads 28 I'm going 30.

I leveled first and fuel milage maybe down .1-.2 if that, may have just been my driving.

Practicality, go with level and 33's. if you do a lot of wheeling or really want to get up in the air go 6" lift and 35s. More lift + bigger tires = worse gas mileage. :)

My 2008 is leveled with 35's. Of course it affected the mileage but not by much. It would probably be cheaper to just level it but I guess it all depends on what you want to do. The bigger tires/wheels with the 2.5" level really changed the look of my truck IMO. Made it look a lot... "tougher"?? Lol.

This is how it sits today.

If you want to go the route of saving some money level and get some 33's. If your truck is 4x4 you can just crank your torsion bars to raise the front.

Does that include new wheels too? If not, way too much.

I thought it was a little over, no wheels just level, labor and new rubber. I asked him to price me some tires to put on my stock wheels I have already we'll see how much that changes.

WAYYYY too much! You would be better off to do the level yourself. Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours.

Shop Ebay...you'll find several wheel/tire combos mounted and balanced for that price. Some even offer free shipping. All you'd have to do is jack up the truck and swap tires. Ten minutes max. Installing the level is another story.

Why is that? It really isn't that hard. For my lift, it took about 3 hours, and that is with smoke breaks and bs-ing
