Hey guys,

I have always been a Ford and GM guy, I have never owned a Dodge but figured I would check one out and possibly purchase. There is a 2004 and a 2005 Ram 1500 5.7L I will be looking at. One has 113K & the other has 105K. I did a Quick search over what to look for with used trucks but didn't really come up with any specifics. What do I really need to look for with a used ram 1500?

I have been told that the rack is known to leak on the 1500. I am in NJ so rust will also be a concern. There any other specifics I want to look for that would make me walk away from a purchase?

if it is a 4X4 the bushings in the 4wd shifter they wear out and need to be replace
