hello everyone, im new to the site as well as having a ram. i have a 2014 ram cc sport black and want to drop the rear. i ordered tuftruck 2 inch drop coilsprings with the kyb shocks due to me towing my trailer of lawn equipment and later towing a car around to car shows. im hearing alot about the panhard bar issues after the drop and need to know what else i need to change and where to buy the panhard bar from? im not doing a 2/4 drop or anything lower just want to lower the rear with the front.

You can buy the Spohn panhard bar directly from Spohn's website. With just a 2" drop. I'm not sure if you will need the air lift helper bags or not.

Is that all I have to buy and should be ok later on in the future?

Yeah I don't think you will need anything else if that's what the trucks being used for. You can find those helper bags at Moes Performance. They are cheap so that's good. Of course later on you can always just upgrade shocks but you should be good for now though.

Ok yeah the only other thing I will do is put some 24s on it but that's the most I will tow with it.

Is there a write-up on installing and adjusting the Spohn Panhard bar?

You shouldn't need the new pan hard bar. I towed a 5000lb trailer for nearly a year weekly with mine lowered 2". And never had any trouble. I didn't even run the air bags in mine until I did the 2/4 drop. And then just used the pan hard relocation bracket.

Do you have any pics on how yours looked when you had just a 2" drop and were your axle off a little?

Here's the only pic I have. The axle was off just alittle. But not enough for me to worry about it.

I tow a 7K lb trailer all over every summer and have not had one issue. (can't imagine doing this w/o airbags tho). Axle is too close to center to worry about.

To do it the correct way you will need the panhard bar and the drop bracket with it.

Yiur bar should level with the axle.

This is my stock bar with a 2" drop

Ill probably get the bar later on. I'm debating if I wanna install the springs and shocks myself or let the shop do it. How hard is it to install?

It's very easy if you have a grinder with a cutoff wheel to cut the coils quickly, and not heat them up (that's a no-no).
My panhard bar also stayed level after the drop. Do the drop, then buy the bar if required.

Done. Looks like it dropped like an inch so I guess ill have to let it settle. By the way this was sooo Damn easy compared to putting a 2inch shackle drop on a leaf spring. It only took me 2 hrs taking my time with regular tools. The only thing that was a pain was getting to that nut on the top part of the shock. Panhard bar barely moved.
