Nothing has had to be replaced on her, knock on wood. I do oil changes with Pennzoil Ultra High Mileage Platinum, every 3K.

Original 65RFE too, and she shifts like a dream. I do fluid changes on her every 20-25K miles, too.

Thats amazing! Just goes to show what proper fluid changes and maintenance can do!

Exactly! If everyone that complained so much about their trucks/cars being unreliable and actually took care of them before making such stupid statements then theyd last so much longer!

PROBLEM SOLVED :
First pic is what I used to make this emergency repair. Heater hose elbow, jv weld for plastics, vacuum hose. The hardest part of this repair was holding the elbow on the valve cover and waiting for the glue to dry. After putting everything back together and going for the test drive, the excessive “fan-like” noise went away just like that. This is of course a temporary fix until I can order oem parts! I want to thank everyone for their input, I hope this thread can help someone else out like it helped me.

Happy it worked out! Just putting this out there, you could always do a V6 fan swap, for slightly better performance and efficiency.
