Been through all the threads…

I recently put in a set of front seats from a 2014 in to my
2011. The plugs didn’t match, so I was able to run a power to the drivers side via the power (red) wire, and connect that to the seat by jumping the connection. Seat works fine.

I now have the dreaded seat annunciator light, and chime, along with the airbag light.

I can live with the annunciator lights, but the chime has got to go.

Already tried the disable function, with no avail via you tube university.

Drivers seat is electric, passenger is manual.

Any thought?

You already tried the deactivate sequence and you are still getting a chime?

Wonder if the pin-out is different in the newer seats. Maybe @Mpgrimm2 might know a thing or two about it?

Other than that, IDK man!

FWIW I did the deactivate sequence so the light remains on the dash but I don't get a beep/chime. The light goes out when I buckle my seat belt though.

The typical Youtube dinger defeat gets rid of the dinger but not the EVIC popups. If you have Alphaobd you can turn the dinger and EVIC warning off with it. Easiest fix is to put a seat extender in it. Gets rid of ding and the EVIC display both. 2 for 14 bucks. Seat belt is then shown as buckled up permanently.

** This isn't like the old post office slogan where "if it fits it ships". I see folks plugging in harnesses from different trucks with same physical connectors into their truck trying to get features to work and not knowing whether or not the pinouts & signals are the same.

The problem here is the different pinouts & signals between the 2011-12 truck seat connectors and the 2014 seat connectors...

I don't have the pinouts for the 11-12 seats (edited with attachments) ... But you likely need to identify 11-12 SRS Airbags feed wires (2) and seat belt signal wires (2) and match that up to the signals on the 2014 seats.
May need to move some pins around to match.... Could be dangerous if your activate the 14 seat's Airbags by mistake ( Seat Thorax Squib wires) ... which is why I don't recommend/get involved in that usually!

Use the following info completely at your own risk
(Also notice that some of the connectors are physically the same, and will plug in between the two trucks, but signals, like the CanBus communication are in very different spots and can screw up the truck!!!)

Well, solution found.

Wasn’t hard as there were only three wires coming from the modular under the original seat. Green with purple, green with tan, and Blk.

I did have to cross connect then, but it got the job done.

I’ll clean it up tomorrow, and tuck in under the seat.

Chime no longer goes off, and both annunciator light are off….. as they should be.
