yeah the spears. well, I expected that, but I am planning afterwards to clay, compound, polish, seal, and wax...do you think that will fix it..?

i doubt it a rubbing compound might work i have had no luck with the mild rubbing compounds or claybar i think the only thing that will work is some wet sanding. but if your gonna wet sand it you have to do the whole panel if you do the whole panel you might as well do the rest of the truck while your at it to.:)

Take it all off...! No moldings, garish emblems, it's all gotta go! I used goo gone and scratch -x to remove any leftover crap.

hehe its what I do.

Think about it, taking them off would be much easier if your gonna paint it because that way you wont have to worry about scratching the current paint

I used scratch x to get the ghosting off. If took more than one app. I like scratch x because it is so forgiving even if it is more work.

I even buff my truck with scratch-x.

I dont like the moulding myself, but what about painting the moulding gloss black to match the truck. That would look better than faded grey.

I buy it at wally world... its a bit cheaper. For me a little goes a long way.

I'll concede that a lighter truck may make a a bit of a difference...I still remember doing my tailgate several times to get the "4x4" decal ghosting off.

If its an issue clay bar it then buff.
