Yeah I think I'd prefer the big brake kit. Any suggestions? The truck has maybe a good three year before I start looking for a new oneYour best and cheapest option for a significant upgrade is to do a hydroboost conversion unless you want to run a big brake kit. None of the 2500 suspension will transfer over since it's a SFA. The hydroboost conversion from the diesel is a HUGE increase in stopping power and it gets rid of the vacuum booster you currently have. I did a write up for installing it in a 4th gen but it's the same for the 3rd gens as well, you'd just be tapping into the power steering pump in a different location than on the 5.7L. Weedahoe also has a youtube video on a 3rd gen.

What do you need more stopping power for? Lots of high speed chases?
Meh I guess I won't worry about it. Figured it would be worth asking. Guess I'll juts go with ceramic pads or somethingThe SSBC tri-power kit will bolt in but it's $1400 and that's the cheap one; Baer is $4k, Rotora is $7k. Keep in mind that each has a progressively larger minimum wheel diameter.

I'll have to think abut that. The hydroboost conversion costs about $300 in parts and is a huge increase in stopping power over the vacuum booster.
