New guy in Vegas- 2005 5.7L 1500 with shock questions
I'm new here. I've had my Dodge for almost a year, and the suspension is hideous on it, so I googled DODGE TRUCK RAM FORUM and landed here.
My truck exaggerates every bump in the road, and parts of Las Vegas freeways are pretty bad.
My GF has a Toyota FJ, and it's super smooth, but my truck is constantly bumping and bouncing over the same area... UNTIL I load anything in the back.
With even a 300 pound motorcycle in the back, suddenly the whole truck rides better.
I've searched here on SHOCK, and read the 3rd Gen DIY threads, but I can't find any good suggestions on OEM shock replacement.
I want to get away from the bone-jarring ride on small bumps and expansion joints, while retaining the ability to load the truck up and use it.
What I'm looking for is a shock that will give me a smooth ride when the truck is empty, but still have enough muscle to handle two 500 pound motorcycles in the back.
