Ordered in two pairs of lights. Flush mount pods. Mounting two in the front bumper and making them wired to fog lights, and changing the flood 4x3's to a toggle switch. We were goofing around with a pair of them at my shop last night and just one flood light over powers the Engo 20" light bar. I have a pair of floods and a pair of spots. Way too much light to be street legal. The other pair I ordered are going in the rear bumper hooked to a toggle for rear lighting.

Was going to work on the bumper tonight but decided to save that for another night. Instead, went ahead and installed the other headlights and a seat cover.

Headlights I'm frustrated with again. Never noticed there's nothing reflective in the back of the signal housing. Park and turn are pure bulb, so i ordered some led bulbs to see if They help. Also, my xenon were again screwing up so i threw the damn halogen bulbs back in for the time being. Ordered in the xkglow 76w kit. Hoping the red housings of the bulbs reflect back so during the day when the Headlights are off will have a red tint.

Any who, photos.

If you're referring to the sport housings, so far I love them. Even with halogen bulbs that are in it now it's the brightest I've had since buying the truck.

The Anzo knock off's that were in before with the LED bars across the bottom weren't my taste, and IMO need something more than a halogen bulb to power them. They're more pencil beamed than these sport housings are, and halogens just don't quite have enough output to thrown the light down the road.

I purchased a xenon kit to install with them originally when I bought the housings, but with my truck having quad headlights I couldn't get them to function properly in the single bulb housings. Thus the reason I purchased the Spyder sport headlights, though it seems the kit I ordered is not designed for quad headlights, only single headlights as what the 9007's are actually made for. Thus why I just purchased the LED kit from XKGlow. I inquired about them a few days ago last week and they confirmed that I'll just ground the high-beam connector rather than hook it into the ballast, giving me low beam from the LED's then I'll pick up some silver stars or something for the high-beams.

Update for the day. Co-worker had this past Saturday off for a trail run with a local club, so I now have this coming Saturday off. Got some bad news though. Lift will not be going on this weekend unless a miracle happens. Tracking info shows delivery for the long arm upgrade at one week from today. Fingers crossed it shows Friday, but it's unlikely.

Side note, I ordered a few more things for the truck. Ordered in a Flowmaster 44 series and a black 3.5" MBRP tip. Picking it up from the muffler shop tonight after work. 40 series just isn't quite enough for my anymore, so going to open her up with more sound. Also decided to finally stop messing around with adding fog lights, flush mounts, blah blah blah. Broke down and ordered in the Rigid Dually SAE Fog lights. Also ordered in the adapters for the 12-14 GMC Sierra, basically some round plates that the Dually will fit in and hopefully fill the caps from the holes in the bumper. These are them.

Rigid%20adapters_zpsvgszyda6.jpg

Returned the 4 sets of flush mounts, and ordered in an NFAB Rear Runner for the rear bumper. With that, I can utilize the 4x3 Flood lights I already have and it'll give the truck something aftermarket to look at. Plus it should flow well when I get the TireGate to replace the tailgate with.

So, with Saturday off, the plan is to get the bumper finished this week and painted by Friday night. Then Saturday, it will be installation day.

Bumper with the following add on's: Engo 12k synthetic winch, Factor 55 fairlead, Factor 55 Pro-link, CSI 4x3" Spot lights, Rigid Dually SAE Fogs with adapters, Engo 20" Multi-function light bar

N-Fab Rear Runner with CSI 4x3" Flood lights

Cobra 29 LX with dual Red 4' Flexible fiberglass antennas.

Vision X Tantrum rock lights

Flowmaster 44 & MBRP black tip

Undercover Swing Case

Switchback LED's and EP27 flasher relay installed tonight. Way better than the halogen bulbs. Need to get the LED headlight bulbs in ASAP as now my headlights are different than the signals and stick out like a sore thumb.

Nice man. I always liked those rear runner bars but I didn't want to lose my hitch capability.

I'll cut the center section out of the bottom of it if it interferes. The only recovery point on the rear of the truck I have is the receiver shackle in the hitch, and I tow trailers for work frequently.

Yeah I do the same. I decided to go with the flush bumper lights instead. Took some fabrication but after I lined the bumper it looks good.

That was the idea when I ordered in those flush pods, but the route I was taking with the front bumper was getting tacky. I'm still toying with the idea of how I can use the 4x3's from CSI for fog lights, the solution I've come up with is to build some lens covers for the lights and see if maybe that will work to dim them down to a bearable ouput, and still be removable for extra light while off road. If the lens covers work, then I'll build a second set for the spot lights that are completely black that I will remove only when off road.

I guess I'm probably being OCD too much with this stuff, but I want to have the same lights throughout the bumper, not 3" square, 4x3 rectangle, 20" rectangle. I feel it would be too cluttered. The rigid's and mounts will be here tomorrow, and I plan on keeping them around as a backup plan in case I can't get these 4x3 floods to work. I have a set of 4.75" round LED's that I can stuff in the rear runner if I end up using the covers and 4x3's throughout the front, so I think I'm setup with what light options I have. Just need to get the bumper finished so I can begin tossing the lights in to see what looks good, what will work, and still be street legal.

Well here is all the different sizes I have in my front bumper. The key is to keep it balanced on each side. I use the two on each side on the outside of the bumper as fog lights, I just have them angled down more. Also a pic of the rear lights.

I'm going to go with the covers for now. Swinging by the hardware store tomorrow morning on my way to the shop. Haven't had the chance to get anything done this week, so I'll be going hard on the bumper tomorrow. Got the day off from work, made it clear to the wife that I will not be coming home until I at have the bumper at least painted. Sunday I'll try to get it assembled with the lights and winch, then installed. Wiring for the lights and building the console to hold my dash pod will have to wait, but at least the truck will be visually done.

At this point it's both ha. I told her last weekend I needed to get the bumper built this week so I could get it installed on Saturday, but she kept throwing curveballs into my plans and I never got the chance to get anything done.

Alright. Got a ton done today, but I'm still a ways out. It appears I will have to do a large amount of trimming to clear the grille, after getting it fit on the truck and finding that out I called it a day at midnight. But progress!
