Just left my local Ram dealer and they're telling me it's too late to order a 2015 1500. If I order, it would be a 2016.

I've been researching, and test driving for two months. And on this forum almost everyday. Dam near fell of the chair when they told me.

Anybody else finding this to be true?

The sales manager told me the only improvement he knew was that the radio would be integrated with Siri so you could push a button on the radio and Siri will respond.

Or you could wait and order the Ram Rebel lol.

Next month or even in September, there will be pretty big rebates on the 2015's if they do what they've done the past few years. Start searching for the Ram you really want on a lot somewhere and get a good deal.

Same happened to me in June and the dealer tried to push me into a stock unit.

Got on the internet and searched for the one I wanted as Jason said and found a sweet deal on almost the exact truck I built.

Slim pickings out there and if I would have waited for a 16 I'm sure the interest rates would have not been 0% 72mth which I got.

I think if anybody is looking for a,2015, now would be the time to get whatever is on the lot because of the 2016 models on their way out.

If you want your pick of the litter, than now is the time because the inventory of 2015's is only going to go down from here.

If you are not very picky, waiting 3-6 months will save you money, but you may not get EXACTLY what you want.

Pros and cons to each.

That's my predicament. Could save a bunch of money by buying a marked down 15, but won't be getting exactly what I want - and for over $40k... why shouldn't I?

My buddy had a 2010 Ram 1500 and when he bought it new, the dealer here in Las Vegas (Towbin Dodge) gave him $9,000 off msrp when he bought it new. If he was active military or college grad, there was an additional $500 or $1,000 he could have also got.

I bought my Ram 1500 over Memorial Day weekend and the dealer I went to here in Las Vegas (Sahara RAM Dodge Jeep) had 5 different color Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cabs all optioned the exact same with same msrp and all 5 of the trucks were just about $9,000-$9,500 off msrp......with the exception of the one I bought it had been in the inventory for over 90 days and they had it just about $11,000 off msrp (plus free bedliner, tint and wheel locks). It happened to be 98% match of the truck I was looking for (only missing 32gal tank and remote start) and it was white my 1st color choice.
MSRP was: $43,845
Sales Price was: $32,875
(I also got 1.9% for 60mo thru a credit union to really sweeten the deal)

Cant complain, just need to add the factory remote start to it now. When its 110-115 here in the summer, the remote start will be nice to cool it down.

I got $9500 off MSRP of my Big Horn crew cab last week. MSRP of $44,860 and paid $35,360 before taxes. It had every option I wanted, including 3.92 with antislip, 32 gallon gas tank, Alpine sound system, and Luxury Group (upgraded instrument cluster). And a few extra including the Comfort Group (dual zone climate control, heated seats & steering wheel) and tow package.

How do you guys get these insane discounts? Invoice on the trucks seem to take a $45k to a $41k.

Getting $9k off a $45k Ram is not uncommon. It just pays to do research on what others are paying. Also, some dealers are more willing to deal, especially high-volume dealers. I didn't even need to negotiate the sale price, they had it advertised for $6000 dealer discount plus $3500 in rebates. Only thing I negotiated was the interest rate for my financing and the lifetime warranty.

Start searching inventory online. You'll be surprised that you can actually find a 2015 you want.

Jason is spot on. You should still be able to find almost exactly what you want for the next month or so, then it will get tougher.

I was in an almost similar position to you because I was torn between 2015 or waiting for 2016. I test drove the 2015, found one that met my needs and wants and pulled the trigger. Not one regret.

At 6'4, I cannot tell you how much nicer it is to get in and out of this truck compared to the two-door accord I was driving around.

Are those prices via factory discounts or are the dealerships somehow willing to eat that loss?

And I've done plenty of online searches. Only one is close enough to what I want, and it's in New Jersey. And it's still missing 9 speaker system with sub haha.
