Howdy y'all. Yankee transplant enjoying the warmer weather of the south. A farmer friend had a 2001 quad cab, 5.9l, 8ft bed work man's special with a bad water pump, crunched hood and rear quarter. On the other side of the farm they had a 1994 regular cab with 5.2l and 8ft bed. The tranny was shot but the body work was fine, so I bought both for $1,300. Both were autos,4x4 and about 200k miles. A few busted knuckles and several diy videos later I have a complete vehicle. Still need to replace the dash, seat and grill but all the major stuff is done.
Only experience I have with Dodges was an 85 2.2 Charger I had in college that I did my best to beat the everloving tar out of. If this truck is as tough as that car was, I think I'll be happy. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions along the way. Cheers
