This is the one from Summit. The 2 I ordered from RP Direct will be here in a couple days.

Anyone tried a Fram Endurance or Titanium yet?

I have an Endurance on hand but I'm going to try the RP 20-820 first and use that if it fits.

Back in the day, RP was made in the USA, as was Fram Ultra.

None of these executives can resist the siren call of higher stock prices = bigger bonuses, I guess.

Ive heard good from some titanium users other than the can seems flimsy i read. The endurance feels stout. I was going to use a fram endurance on the altima but its about 15% smaller than the mobil 1 filter i had been using for the previous 7-8 OCIs

Right - they only put the stickum all over the thin canister on the Titanium, but they've advertised the Endurance as a thicker canister.

That 20-820 was $47.68 with shipping for ONE filter.
RP Direct was $38 for TWO of them including shipping.

On the Royal Purple oil filter(s) the date code/place of manufacture is on the "bottom" of the oil filter.

They are all stamped, "ZZ" or "22" next to the holes. Is that the year of manufacture?

I have several filters on hand, the Purolator Boss is stamped 22 and has a manufacture date of 2017.
I also have Royal Purple 20-802 stamped ZZ, man date is 2022, and a Royal Purple 10-500 stamped ZZ, man date is 2023.
Also a Fram Endurance, FE10060 stamped ZZ, man date 2023.

On the Royal Purple oil filter(s) the date code/place of manufacture is on the "bottom" of the oil filter.

LOL, define "bottom".
All my Royal Purple, Fram, and Purolator are stamped on the bottom if you look at them as they would be installed holes up.

Also, all RP 20-820 filters, whether from Summit(1) or RPDirect(2) are stamped "made in Mexico" and dated 2022
My RP 10-500 from Amazon says "product of USA" and dated 2023.

Well, one of my RP 20-820 shows 15:41, so I hope it's not an 8 year old filter.

The 10-500 shows OC:16

All 3, reading from the left, show 120622 (12/06/2022?)
The 10-500 shows 07/13/23

yeah, I don't see any markings that show year of manufacture. Just curious. Filters looks great and I am glad to have some sitting on the shelf. Finally!!!
