Quick update:

I just ordered some new LED bulbs and resistors for the brake lights and reverse lights. Should make it a lot brighter behind the VHT.

I did this same exact thing...thinkin the same thing.

It doesn't help lol

Idk if it's the design of the reflector housing but it just doesn't get much brighter than the oem bulb....and with VHT on it is even worse. This is pretty much why I removed the VHT from my tails.

Maybe you'll have better luck.

Meh... Well see. No big deal if it doesnt get brighter. Ive seen them at night and its not bad. Still plenty bright.

Plus i still have my 60" led tail gate light that also has reverse led's so im alright.

Finished my 3rd brake light to match the tails...

One of my license plate bulbs blew out so I took the opportunity to install LED bulbs in there place.

The retrofit is still coming along nicely...

I ordered some 9005 led bulbs for the fog lights and also some 9005 fan-less led bulbs for my high beams on the retrofit. I wanted something that would be instant on because when i switch to my highs i didnt want to wait 10+ seconds for an hid bulb to warm up.

What LED bulbs did you end up going with for your taillights?

Have you driven my truck? Have you seen the light output? Actually I have not had ONE Driver flash me or honk or anything. My lights are properly adjusted and they don't blind anyone.

Drivers Seat photo, notice the sides of the road my light pattern does not shoot off into the trees. It's about 2-3 feet up into the grass.
8838da5031db3fa2675d7adf3db51a49.jpg

If you look at the first 2 photos my lights are aimed properly and they almost have a nice cutoff like hid's. Now I'm not saying the cutoff is as good as hid's, but it's way better than any other Halogen output I've ever seen.

Bottom line, my lights don't blind anyone. I drive every single night in a highly populated traffic area and I've yet to have 1 single person high beam me, flash me, brake check me, or get mad.

So I guess I'm blinding everyone.... right? Since you seem to know everything about everyone's trucks?

Here's all the LED's I just bought/ordered in the last 48 hours:

High Beams (Quads): 80w 6000k Fanless LED's
http://www.ebay.com/itm/252774507620

High Beam Decoder: Anti-Flicker/Error-Free 9005/9006 Load Resistor:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/231914157114

Fog Lights: MostPlus 6000k Cree 9005 (H10, 9145)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/262756221120

Front Turn Signals: iCBEAMER 42SMD Can-bus SwitchBack 3157 Samsung LED's
http://www.ebay.com/itm/381664739018

Brake Lights: iCBEAMER 57SMD Can-bus White 3157 Samsung LED's
http://www.ebay.com/itm/301828992302

Reverse Lights: Samsung 25w 6000k 921 White "Projector Lense" LED's
http://www.ebay.com/itm/351545297452

License Plate Lights: Pilot Automotive 194 White "Super Bright" LED's (I bought these at my local Pep Boys for $9.99)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/222390929494

And for any of the LED's that I will need resistors for that didnt already come with them as a package, i ordered a couple pairs of these aswell: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222240216778

And for the low beams, I ordered a Morimoto XB35 H1 HID kit for the mini h1's im putting in. I might add a curved bar in the bottom of my front bumper, im not sure. I want to see how everything looks at night with what ive already ordered and then go from there.

However my MostPlus 9005 LED bulbs came today along with the switchbacks and a few others.

I installed the MostPlus 9005's into my fog lights. No anti-flicker adapter or resistors were needed. Just plugged them in and they worked.

Here are some pics!

Came packaged very nicely for $40 LED bulbs:
e6d21224ad8f82dc4d0d5d3eb294fb29.jpg9387b69634c1addb76868c00a20bf860.jpg

The overall quality of the bulb and its design is top notch.

The instructions were a complete joke. For anyone who doesnt normally work on cars and is semi-afraid to install these, would get no help from these instructions that are clearly written in Chinglish.

What a massive difference over the Phillips CrystalVision Halogen Bulbs that I once thought were pure white and amazing... I was definitely wrong lol
49276777b4ccca7250e3eab11774c921.jpgdba8d2000ab3021919062e183780446f.jpgffe1fca0b72133d9348c64c494b5f2dd.jpgb29fcaaa186291b57ac120e815f1d388.jpg

Final Thoughts: Overall im very happy with the quality and light output. Of course i have yet to see them at night, but judging by how bright they are in full daylight, im going to guess they will be brighter than my Phillips CrystalVision Halogen bulbs were.

I will definitely take some night pictures tonight and post them up, as im very curious how they are going to look once its fully dark out. Aslong as they are brighter than the old halogens, ill be happy.

Oh and just for anyone looking for led's.... The MostPlus are $40 and the Opt7 FluxBeam's are $90 and they are the exact same bulb. The only difference is color and the MostPlus has some sort of cover on the led stalk that the Opt7 does not. But even on the Amazon product page, someone asked if they were the same bulb and MostPlus answered yes they get them from the same supplier and same warehouse.

5e56b34030cf65a014ad8b319a464661.jpg40f858b84bb89abaf36caa17a754b54b.jpg

- Same shaped metal base over fan
- Same "bubble" (they call it "arc beam") over led's
- Same exact led driver box
- Same exact connectors to & from led driver box
- Same wiring
- Same output & specs

While browsing for a pair of 9005 led bulbs for my fogs i came across 3 or 4 companies selling the same Opt7 led bulbs but just in different colors. MicTuning is one of them, theirs is purple, MostPlus is another, theres are silver. There are a few more but i cant remember them off the top of my head.

Moral of the story; Dont spend $90 on the original version Opt7 FluxBeam led's when you can buy the EXACT same bulb in a different color for less than half the price of the Opt7 LED's.

The Opt7 FluxBeam-X LED's are a different story. I've yet to see another company have a replica or copy for sale yet.

Here are some night shots of the $40 MostPlus 6000k 9005 LED Bulbs I put into my truck earlier today.

(Photos are of JUST the fog lights, no low beams!)
22e4d699b550e8928bec993b8bb18afe.jpgc0e5ec3134ac6206bb8286f76279936c.jpgecf9e2037d22e6d58bc78c64779ad943.jpg4760d0c760ca051440f4c4f4ecc6bf68.jpg

Very happy with them for only $40. The color is spot on for their claims of 6000k. It is hyper white with a smidge of blue. They look awesome and should match my hid's perfect once i get the retrofit done.

Just won the auction on EBay for this RBZ head unit for $220. Should be here sometime next week.
3df9422c2338b586db578f5a5bdba3d1.jpg

Just yesterday I had my truck at the local Ram dealer to have all 16 Plugs changed, my oil changed and to diagnose an exhaust leak.... surprise suprise. I have 2 broken exhaust manifold bolts. They said they might have to replace the whole head if they can't get them out. Thank God it's under Warrenty still.

Once my projector build is done and they are on my truck, i will be selling these headlights that also have Opt7 FluxBeam-X led's in them. Look for them in the for sale section in the upcoming week or two.e3b91c9d1c6533bcaf7cc197211a2810.jpg

Detailed the truck today. Didn't break out the Dewalt buffer to cut and polish it (really needs a full detail) but it still looks pretty good.

Truck goes into the shop tomorrow for broken exhaust manifold bolts. Hope they don't have to replace the head.

Good news is, I will have a rental 2017 Charger for a few days [emoji48] [emoji48] [emoji48]

Just a quick update on everything.

● 13+ Projectors Build:
Lights are done. The internals just need to be wiped down and then seal them up. Install the hid kit and projector adapter and there done.

Here's some pics:
9b9405f3e3680f2e51aa10e7d4ff0a33.jpg98397259c422d4a234f9d4045638ecbc.jpgd9a3b89e09ef6894766185725cea6009.jpg5835cb63f6ffe629bcf84f8b75c2cb2f.jpgbc805e0c9268e0a01a47d29796e4bbb6.jpg

● RES to RBZ Radio Swap:
I got the RBZ installed and it had an antitheft code. I found a person on eBay who gets the codes for $14. 24hrs later, I had my code. Awesome service, and I love the new radio!

Here's some pics:
ddd1cddd7a0ea21eb321506a3d8215ce.jpgff4f0ed7c1bd965eedc963ae3335c85e.jpg8f39695398ad4a2ec7110cd5ebe9af1e.jpge0cd48e762f3edd1592f2c3c9323c886.jpg

● LED Taillights:
Found a set of cheap aftermarket LED Taillights off of craigslist. Picked them up for $70. Came with the 3rd brake light, figured it was a really good deal. I'm going to be smoking them with VHT Nightshades later today.

Here are some pics before smoking them:
db8511b0ffa7603f6ac7bc1598c60a46.jpg79badda38e2e954fbf595488e877838c.jpg

● Mirror Swap: Power + Heat to Power + Heat + Puddle Light + Turn Signal:
I picked up these OEM mirrors for only $150. They go for about $300 each on rockauto and other sites so I thought it was a great deal. They have the Power Glass + Heated + Puddle LED Lights + Turn Signal LED Lights. Should have them installed in a few days, I have other stuff to do to the truck first though.

Pics of mirrors:
165be0b70d8290b15fdbe0f43ff445a1.jpg

● Buffer
So I picked up a cheap buffer/Polisher from Harbour Freight so I can cut and polish my truck. It needs it badly. I also ordered some compounds and other detail stuff from Xtreme Solutions, www.877askxtreme.com. They have the best detail products out there.

Pics of buffer:
e220042a93763387983e0d10b878fcb8.jpg

I should also be painting my wheels bronze, with Plastidip Mettalic Paint over this weekend aswell. I want to see how the red truck would look with bronze wheels.

Quick update on the Ram since its been awhile since I've posted in here about it.

My OEM TYC Projectors have been on for a few weeks now and I'm running the Morimoto XB35 6500K HID Kit and I love it... it's amazing!!!

I FINALLY got the Vinyl work done that I've been wanting to get since I bought the truck last December.

The Vinyl used was 3m 1080 Matte Black.

The vinyl work was done by Jason, the owner, at Five Star Tinting & Graphics in Croydon, PA.
