P2706 - Dirty fluid or time for a rebuild?

Had a new issue today:

My 06 Ram 1500 (4.7, 545RFE) lost power today and it felt like I was stuck in 3rd gear for a good 10 minutes. It’s driving normal now after I shut it off and started back up. I did check the fluid and it is just a hair above the first dot at the hot line. Any suggestions? I checked the codes and put them below. The fluid does smell kind of burnt so I’m thinking a transmission fluid change is going to be in the near future. But I just want to know if this is something simple or if I’m gonna be needing a transmission.
