Parking Break Switch

Hello, I'm having a problem with my parking break light Not coming on when the parking break is on. I've looked this problem up for two weeks now and no answers, everyone is having a problem with the staying on. I replaced the switch and still no luck. Please help, I need this to work for my states inspection.

Try grounding the white/lime green wire on the parking brake lever and seeing if that turns on the parking brake light. If it does, you have an issue with the parking brake switch or its ground. If not, then there is an issue with the wiring after the switch.
