Hello,
I have a 2006 Ram 25000 that is registering two codes (PO300 & PO430). My truck has the 5.7 liter Hemi. The check engine light comes on and off (mostly on). The truck runs fine with only periodic sputtering (usually when the check engine light and beeping comes on). I know that the PO300 is a cylinder misfiring code (more than one cylinder) and signals a multitude of problems. My question is whether my truck, given the year and engine, is prone to a specific problem that I can target without going through the numerous possible problems. Also, are the two codes related indicating a very specific problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks a lot!

The first two steps I'd take is replace the spark plugs....fun job and eliminated my P0300.

2nd is replace the 02 censors.
In my case the P0430 came back as my cats were burned out so I did the spark plug non fouler mod and truck has been running great ever since.

Here's the very easy non fouler mod the fools the ECU.....placed downstream. 20190815_134932.jpg
