PO463

[Trucker J]

I got this code PO463 and it says it the Fuel Level Sensor. What's weird is the level works fine above 3/4 tank but drops to Empty when idling. Anything below 3/4 tank the gauge works sometimes when driving but never when sitting still. I know it's connected to the Fuel Pump and wonder if this is a precursor to the pump failing? I plan on replacing both soon since I have to drop the tank, but I want to wait until it's not so dang hot. Any input is greatly appreciated.
