This was towing my TT home for the first time. 3100lbs dry, 21ft. Trans temps never went above 145 which I thought was pretty good. This is the 65RFE with a MagHytec trans pan running Redline C+.

Id say so.

Here's mine after a 20 min. tow of my TT that weighs about 7100lbs.
note that oil pressure and temp. never seen it at those levels.

Have a question guys. Since I have never heard of an EVIC giving an accurate mpg reading, how can we assume other info taken from the EVIC is accurate?

I have booked a scan tool up to my truck and the values are identical. My Trinity also shows the same values. So the temp values are accurate

The temp is just a voltage from the sensor, so it should always be accurate. Avg MPG is an approximation of how many gallons are in the tank. So I trust it less than the old school method of checking MPG.

My trans runs about 185 , up to 200 when towing long distance. I have a 180 deg tstat and tune

The 8 speed has a thermo disk that is designed to heat up the tranny quicker using coolant and also maintain the optimum temp of 190 deg.

Man I wish mine had that gauge cluster. That thing looks so much nicer.

^^^Love the premium guage cluster. IMO if anyone doesn't have one it's well worth the upgrade

How do you upgrade it and retain your mileage? And how expensive does it run? Thanks sorry to hijack thread

That's an excellent question. I believe there is a way I'm just not sure what that is since mine came with this cluster

It just saved me a lot of heartache. I was flipping out looking fir it and rememberd i saved it in my photos.

So i ended up draining more than i thought. I was supprised to see how much of a diff it made just adding small amounts.

I just had trans work
done lately but before the work mine ran 180 consistently. That was both towing and empty.

I just had to have the soleniod pack and torque converter replaced. The temps seem to not rise as fast now. Towing I will find out more this weekend.
