The CC 1500 and 2500 share the same cab and bed. The wheel base is the same between the two. The wheel base is 9" shorter between the QC and CC w/6'4" bed. Personally I don't think there is enough difference in overall length to warrant the shorter QC unless you have a length restriction for parking or something. I could understand if we were talking about a CC LB 2500 but not the SB. I've owned QC before and I won't buy another.

With that being said, the 2500 just feels like a bigger truck regardless of the wheelbase. The half ton feels smaller and more nimble.

I just like the lenght and size of what I have now and would rather go smaller or shorter than go longer.
I ordered a new 99 super duty 4 door long bed 4wd dually and dont want any part of that big of a truck again lol.

That is a monster of a truck! No doubt the half ton will feel smaller, especially compared to a Power Wagon. I originally wanted a CCLB but after driving one I realized CCSB is just about right.

most crew cab 1500's have the 5'7" bed. finding a 149" wheel base 1500 is tough. most dealers dont stock them. usually needs to be ordered. the norm for a 1500 is 140", whereas your 4 door 2500 is usually 149" unless you get a long bed.

Thought this might apply here.

TFL Truck just released a video of the New Power Wagon towing 9,000 lbs up the Ike.

Haven't seen it yet, and have to wait til lunch.

I just watched the first one of the 6.4l from 2014. It was bad that sucker was hardly pulling in first gear, just shows how overgeared the transmission is.

I take it the Power Wagon rides on the highway like a 1500? Pretty much the same payload and towing capacity and even a rear sag when that trailer was hitched.

There is something definitely off about that Power Wagon video.

When they started up the Ike at 4:15 of the video, the trip meter said the truck said it went .01 miles with an elapsed time of 2 min 9 sec, and 3,884 miles on the odometer. You can tell the clip is at the start of the Ike Gauntlet here because he is only doing 20 mph before he revs up, and the average mph was only 5.

When they finished the Ike at 11:09 of the video, the trip meter said the truck went 8.1 miles with an elapsed time of 10 min 17 sec, and 3,892 miles on the odometer. A few short seconds later you see the entrance of the tunnel through the windshield so you can tell he is at the very top of the Ike Gauntlet.

Subtracting 3,892 from 3,884 of the mileage on the odometer at the two different points is exactly the 8 miles that is the difference on the trip meters in those two shots. So we definitely know that those two points are the beginning and end with it even being verified by the truck's odometer which cannot be reset.

The only thing that doesn't make sense is the 10 minute flat time that Nathan said, and the elapsed time on the two shots of the trip meter. Based on that, the time up the hill should have been about 8 min 8 sec.

No, the PW rides much stiffer. Totally different feel than the IFS 1500.
