I ordered the Bakbox from the BakFactoryOutlet. What digs at me........cuz I'm not a patient dude..........is this:

Ordered on a Monday, it wasn't picked up until a week later, and shipped the next day. So, don't give me this "holiday" ********, it should have shipped a week before it did. What the **** is wrong with people and shipping?

I don't know about the CHALL kit... but I have a viper 5902 alarm with every extra sensor possible... ITS AWESOME!

The easiest way to wire anything is to cut everything and mix up the colors. Im kidding of coarse but yes its sketch cutting into the factory wiring harness sometimes.

More then 1 truck has had to be towed from a Best Buy to the dealer to fix a wiring issue. Long as they have a good tec working there you will be ok but normaly its a kid gettin paid $5 an hour who dont really care about what he is doing.

Yup resistors for the door locks, had to wait a day for those too on mine. I tried to go with a reputible shop down here, and I have a birds nest of wires under my steering wheel trim panel, never paying them for anything again, especially since I dropped the truck off a 9am one morning and they didnt "finish" the install until 5 pm, tried to tell me they open at 8 and since I was "late" they bumped me all the way back on the list, and then did a ****** job.

As far as best buy goes, the people there dont know anything specific, and they broke trim pieces on my brothers old rx7 and glued them back together like we wouldnt notice. Not doing that again.

There was a fusing issue brought to my attention that I blatantly overlooked. The 12V wire needs to be fused at the fuse box... I am just going to find a 12V wire under the dash to tie into and use the existing wire for my hood pin that really should be installed for obvious safety reasons.

Looks like that CHALL kit will only work for 2006's and up anyways. I knew the guy at best buy that wired mine. $300 for lifetime readjustment of alarm settings and install. WOuld have cost me anywhere from $600-$800 at any shops around here. Haven't had a problem so far, and it's been over a year. I even made an appointment 2 months after to adjust the settings and they sat there and adjusted them to what I liked. Pretty badass. But yeah, Ive also heard horror stories.

so I finally got some time to install this today.

Got it all wired up.......doors work, no remote start. UGH! I made sure that I had it programmed for the keys to work, and it wasn't in manual tranny mode. Couldn't figure out what the deal was. Called Morgan, went through a few things.........and still couldn't get it going. So, I went back to the manual, looking for a phone number for Viper. I saw a harness connector diagram.......and saw that I plugged in a few in the wrong spots. 2 of them had the same connector........whoops. Swapped them and BOOM! in business.

Gotta love it. Now I have to figure out a few things with getting it programmed to my liking.

Good deal man, glad it worked out good for ya. We're fixing a failed attempt to wire a remote start on a Scion xB at work, somehow they got it to where when you press the brake the fuel pump kicks off and once you press it again it turns back on. Plus when you give it throttle the whole interior loses power. lol
