What is the tallest lift one can get that will still clear a 7' clear garage door opening w/ a 16' Laramie? Is this an easy answer?

My 16' does have the shark fin antenna so I know that will impact the decision.

Guess what I'm asking since I'm a newbie when it comes to lifts is - if I measure from the top of the shark fin to the bottom of my opening and it's say 2.25" - is it safe to assume a 2" lift will give me exactly 2" of lift or is there some tolerance there that could ultimately make it a no go?

If a lift relies on a spacer, either on top of the strut or on top of the rear coil spring, or on simply relocating the spring seat with your stock spring (Bilstein front struts) then a 2 inch lift is going to lift the truck 2 inches.

But any lift that incorporates new parts like aftermarket springs, etc is going to supply a different amount of lift depending on the exact equipment in your truck.

I put a "two inch" Mopar kit on my RCSB 4X4 and got slightly more than 2 inches, but still could drive safely into my garage.

Thanks for the insight - this is what had me concerned. I appreciate your confirming my suspicions!

And that also was something I was concerned about but I'm running stock 20s w/ the standard 275/60/R20s ( 33s ) for now.

and I fit, with shark fin.

Mines 4.5/3" lift, and 35" tall tires

You betcha sir. My grandkids love the "twang!" the antenna does when it bounces off the header of the door, but it fits!

This is all great info - looks like I should be able to put on a 2-3" lift then w/o too much concern if I decide to go that route. Thank you everyone for all your input!

I was mostly considering an eibach lift kit + maybe a 1" spacer for a lil' extra??
