Looks great

Do the Red lights run whenever lights are on or just with brake lights?

Those are on with the tail lights.
I’ve got another 6 of the red ones to install (going to put 3 on each side) that will be tied into the brake/signal lights. Just waiting on the weather to warm up a bit.

I like the concept of these. I think I will add it to the list of things to do. Thanks for the write up!

Got the same grill! I love it! Great price on it as well. The only thing I didn't like was that I could reuse the grill shutter air dam from the factory one.

@JB1 what size did you buy? I got the 6mm, but I have a feeling looking at yours they are the 16mm. Now what do I do with these tiny 6mm versions? they're amber

I bought the 11mm which is the thread size (use 1/2” drill) and the bezel is 15mm, with 16mm the bezel is 20mm which is too big for the opening in the honeycomb grill (3/4” or 18mm)

Believe it or not there was a lot of thought, design and planning on how I did this and the parts selected.

Sorry, wish you would have asked me first.

Good writeup, but I found some white LED fixtures at Academy (of all places) meant for marine use...I'll install those as I don't like amber running lights (especially if they mimic a Ford).

I believe people run amber because LEO can get picky on running too many white lights.

The ones I used come in many colors, even dual so you can wire them as strobes

I look forward to seeing what you come up with and how they mount

Me, too!

Here's what I got...again, 'cause they were on sale! Initially, I thought I'd do 'em as reverse lights, but they're probably not bright enough to blind folks (and isn't that the point of aftermarket reverse lighting in general?). I imagine the look will be similar to what others with strip lights have posted here (Muddy, BEAST). I've got five, so I'll either do three (with the others as spares) or hook 'em all up just to be different.
