Raptor style Grill Opinions?

Before I got rid of it I had fitted a Rebel center emblem on there. Really made it look a little less "raptorish"

I thought so too, that center peice was a nightmare to find. I didn't want just the letters but the plastic trim around them. That was the only one I found and it was on eBay. Sold it to a member here last winter.

I don't the only part number I could ever find was just for the Gray RAM letters. From what I remember I tried googling all the marking numbers on the inside and came up empty

i purchased a 1500 body style rebel grille and customized it and installed it on my 2500.

i did not like the way the chrome bumper looked so i plastic coated it black. looked better. I had to make a few minor modifications to mount the grille on its lower tabs . and as you can see the hoods are different 1500 to 2500 where it meets the top of the grille . the arch is not the same but its not terrible. it looks worse in this photo but 5 ft away its not so bad. (in this picture i only had the grille mocked up.. it wasnt mounted.. just resting in position.)
ill take a better picture of it .. Its been mounted and the other mods have been finished . i just need to take a good picture with good lighting.

Love that people are putting Rebel grilles on non-Reb models...remember all that smack about how ugly it was? I always thought they were cool and that's why I bought a '16 Reb!

I am about to put this emblem on my raptor style grille as well and was hoping you could answer a couple questions for me.

1. Did you trim the emblem at all so it would sit more flush with the grille? When I mocked it up it looks like it was protruding kind of far from the grille.

2. What did you use to mount the emblem? I was thinking of getting longer screws and some washers to hold it in place.

Your help is much appreciated!
