Im trying to upgrade from the 3.21 gears currently on my 2014 ram 1500 2wd running 35s. I have found some oem 3.92 axles or a yukon 3.90 kit. I have found a kit on jeggs performance for $1,300 that includes everything I would need (I believe). Will provide link below. Is this a good kit and would it be a kit any knowledgeable shop could install? I have seen some used rear axles with 3.92s and was wondering if that was a better idea. Since everything is already set up and the price is almost the same. But then again they have been sitting and might cost more to install. Don’t know which route I want to go. What have you guys heard about yukon and their kits as well. Thank you very much

If I were to choose between the 2 I would choose the 3.92 rear end and you could do the job yourself. Gear swaps cost a lot in labor not to mention gears are super finicky. I don't know how many times I've heard a "expert" shop say a little noise is normal with gears. That is 100% false. If you find a shop that tells you it's not normal and they stand behind there work I'd go that route but no for 3.90s. the factory 3.92 is going to be set up better no performance difference though.

Just go to a junk yard and pick up 3.92 diffs. Way cheaper that way. and you might luck out and even find a 4.10 RAM

Do you absolutely need the BDS drop bracket if not adding a lift.
