My 2015 1500 Big Horn came with 20x8 "chrome clad" rims. I plan to get a 4" lift and 35x12.50 tire and also want more side-wall. So, I plan to get 17x9 rims. Will I run into any problems going down in rim size like that?

Also, I am having trouble finding rims I like. I like sturdy looking rims, not ones with a bunch of thin spokes. I don't like rims that are super concave or convex. My truck is granite crystal, a dark/medium gray. Though I have chrome bumpers, I think black rims would look best. I think I would like the Black Rhino Warlord rims in matte gunmetal. But, I'm not sure how that would look and don't have anywhere to see the rims in person. I would appreciate picks of rims people haveon their trucks that have the traits I am looking for.

You'll need to change the offset slightly and level your truck a bit.

Stock 20" wheel spec is 20 x8 with a 19.05mm offset and a 275/60RX20 tire. The new combination will be taller & wider than the stock wheel & tire setup.

You'll want to 1) compare your current to desired tire sizes and determine the additional width, and, 2) using that information determine how many MM the wheel needs to move out from the hub towards the fender.

Here is a good site for calculating wheel sizes:

https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/

Custom offsets is a great site for looking at a LOT of wheels. There are sites that use a "configurator" that will help you see rims on your model and color truck. Here's one from Discount Tire:

https://www.discounttire.com/wheel-visualizer

Here is a great site for comparing tires sizes. Use the "Tire Comparison" tab:

https://tiresize.com/calculator/

Also, are you planning on lifting or leveling the truck? You may need to do that to clear the additional tire/wheel height.

As far as color...well, go with what looks good to you.

I am planning on getting the Zone 4" lift (front) with 3" rear lift. I plan to use Bilstein 5100's on the front and will probably use them to add a bit more to eliminate more of the currently 2 3/4" rake. The Zone listing for that lift kit says 17x9 rims fit with 4.5" backspacing. That should be 0 offset on a 9" wide rim, right? The Warlords come in 17x9 with 0 offset for my bolt pattern.
