So recently I had the opportunity to work on a badass laid out 09 Ram Sport - the shop truck for Gas Monkey Audio Rods & Customs. ARC? They are the newly developed retain side of the Gas Monkey organization. Simply put, lots of people want the monkeys to work on their vehicle, and this will be the outlet for that.
We finished this build in July, and rolled down to Dallas to deliver them to the monkeys. Had a hell of a trip, got to meet both Richard and Aaron, and quite a few of the fabricators and workers there. Saw some NEAT projects they were working on.......couple of Richard's Rams.....one I'd love to swipe LOL - and in all, just an awesome trip to meet the team, and build the relationship with them.
So, what was our test subject? This beaut!
For this build we started with a fresh set of 2013+ OEM Ram bihalogen projectors, and performed the following modifications to them:
- Morimoto 3" FX-R projectors (retrofitted to replace the stock halogen projectors)
- "RS" logo etched into the FX-R lenses
- Dual color paint scheme - PW1 Stone white and Satin black
- RetroShop '13+ adapter (to mate the lights to the truck)
- Morimoto 5Five Ballasts
- Morimoto 5K D2H bulbs
- Morimoto Standalone canbus adapters
For the fogs, we started with a set of TYC replica fogs, and performed the following modifications:
- Morimoto Mini H1 projectors with Mini Gatling shrouds
- "RS" logo etched into the lenses
- Dual color paint scheme - PW1 Stone white and Satin black
- Morimoto 3Five Ballasts
- Morimoto 3K H1 bulbs
- Morimoto Standalone canbus adapters
Shots taken during the headlight / fog build:
And installed!!
And......coming soon! The tails we worked up for them. Putting the finishing touches and will get those down!
Loved seeing this post up on IG today!
What a killer opportunity - freakin' amazing guys to work with! Can't wait for the next build!
