Adam, how is your cat set up? Does your exhaust join up before the cat or is it like mine with a dual in single out cat?

Just picked it up and honestly feel like I just wasted $100...

Nope. Sounds exactly like the used FM super 44 I just pulled off. Only quieter

Mark, you have the 360? Maybe that coupled with the longer muffler are what is making the difference.

Man you should just have them run duals straight pipe. After hearing that I don't think that yours will be that loud with straights.

I don't see it making THAT much difference though. Yours sounds pretty dang loud in the vid. I think my cat has a lot to do with it. Everyone I've talked to about it says the same thing.

I started it up while it was still on the lift with no muffler after the cat, and could hold a conversation with my buddy standing underneath my truck...

I think I'm done messing with the exhaust until I completely redo it all. Headers, y, cats and all.
On the bright side, my truck seems to like the Dynomax better than the FM. I've only put a few miles on it, but it pulls a little better and lost the little "stumble" it had while sitting still and in gear

I wonder if your cat is about to go Mark.

Wouldn't surprise me. And this is the first SI-DO cat the guys at the exhaust shop had seen.

The exhaust is on hold till I get all the little problems fixed. Heater core is leaking, water pump started seeping a little, headlight leaks, drivers window is off track. Bunch of little crap that kinda hit me all within a week or so of each other

Mark are you sure your cat is SI-DO? The cat on my 97' is a DI-SO. I replaced mine a few years ago with a Magnaflow Hi-Flo cat, big difference in sound.

It's a DI- SO. I said it right earlier, just got it backwards in the post you quoted lol.
Did you just join them together with a single cat or what?
