Small block Chevy thermostat in an 08 4.7L

So the only manufacture that makes a 180* thermostat is JET, one for a small block Chevy is exactly the same diameter as the OE one for the 08+ 4.7L. Will it still work? Has anyone used it before? It's a lot cheaper, OE is 21.99, SBC is aroung 6 bucks.

What is wrong with the oe? You just want the chev one because it is a few bucks cheaper?

If the depth is the same and gasket will work why not? I assume you want the lower thermostat for lower temps...

yeah if its all the same go for it. yeah thats the reason for the swap to 180t to lower eng. temps. i just took mine out i might put it back in soon.
