Squeeking steering wheel

Its driving me crazy. It sounds like theres something stuck in there. When i first bought the truck i had a piece if paper fall behind the wheel and i could fish it out with a scribe.
I cant see ****. It a 2012 express How do i remove the top and bottom plastic to get back there

On the steering column itself you need to pull the steering wheel off. You might be able to get some access by removing the bezel around the instrument cluster. Just held in by 4 screws 2 philips and 2 torx I believe. I think they are also about a 7mm socket
