So I thought for the last couple months I was nit picking on the steering, but after having a few tonight I let my wife drive the truck home. She complained that over bums the steering was very "loose" and that she felt like she had to hold the steering wheel tight or she would loose it due to roughness.

Now what could be the cause of that? Loose steering and a lot of bump steer?? I appreciate any and all help guys and gals.

How old are your shocks? Mine was walking way right, almost off the road a few times. so I replaced mine at 80000 with bil hd's and what a differance over bumps and pot holes. So much better that I ordered 5100's for the front last friday.

Shocks front and rear are new. Now not the best on the market by any means. But they are fairly new (under 10k miles)

Sounds like lower ball joint(s) and or upper CA joints going bad.

Lidos this align with that idea, like I'm holding the steering wheel still and it's almost like the front end moves a foot over while driving but still straight forward??

I'll take a look at them tonight, I'm getting paid soon and I'm going to fix the truck up. Needs some TLC.

Sorta related, figured out the rear end problem. The top bolt on my driver side rear shock is gone. So my shock wasn't really attached. Should get that fixed tonight.

Yeah, no go n fixing it tonight. It drives fine - ish. But I will be able to fix it all up tomorrow. Now to figure out the electrical demons in the signal system, and the up sloppy steering and we will be good to go.
