OK so I've been reading post for a while now but have never posted so here it goes. I've got a '12 2500 crew cab 8'bed 4x4 with the Cummins. I have a 2.5" leveling kit (and air bags on the rear for towing but that doesnt matter)

I just bought a set of stock 20" wheel (because I like them). From what I have read I can run a 34-35" tall tire without problem but width could cause a problem. It looks like a 12.50 will rub on lock. I'm looking at the 35x11.50-20 or the 285/65-20 RT or AT.

I'm also considering a 12 ply over the 10 ply, one channel says the 12 ply might have a better tread life but how much ride quality will be sacrificed. If I can gain tire life, I can learn to be cautious when turning and deal with a slight rub.

post your pic's if your running stock wheels and 35s. as aftermarket wheels don't help me.

I believe a 295/65/20 might fit.

on a 20x8 wheel they spec out to

35.43” tall
11.5” wide

this varies slightly between manufacturers (above is for the Cooper STT Pro’s)

I can speak for a 1500 with a level. I had to run a small spacer with 35x12.50 20s. It would rub the upper control arm, but on full lock, a slight trim to the fender liner fixed the rubbing.
