Ok, now that I have a HU in my truck I'm going to start gather components to do a killer simple system.

What I'd like to see is for the people that have install subs under their rear set. What did you do?

I made custom fiberglass boxes myself that fit under the seats. They are still under construction and I will finish them eventually. I need to just seal them with liquid nails and carpet the boxes. However they sound very nice.

It was a huge change because before I had placed two 12" in a large box on the rear seat. Now I can have a full truck of 6 people. Ill try and get you some shots up soon.

Thats the main reason I want to put some UNDER the rear seat as I have kids so I don't want to lose that seating ability.

Thats roughly how I would like to do mine. Just need to figure out box size per my subs. I have a couple of old skool Orions that are damn near mint and hardly used. Bought them in the late 80's, used them in a car for about 2 months. Sold the car and the subs went in storage. Forgot I had them until a few months ago when I emptied out my storage unit.

I may have a hell of a time fitting these subs under the back seat with having to have a 1.6 cu.ft. box per sub and thats for sealed. Its 1.7 cu.ft ported box with a 4" port 11.3" long.

I did a center console since I use the fold flat floor alot. If it wasn't for that, I would have done under an under the seat one.

I have 4, 10" Pioneer shallow mount subs. 1 under each seat. The issue with shallow mounts are that the magnet is 1/2 the size of a traditional sub, so you either need a more powerful amp, or do like I did and do amp/sub.

These old skool Orion XTR 12s are rated at 800rms and 4 ohm. Just laid them flat on a table and they measure a whopping 5.75 depth.

i had Rockford Fosgate P3s and had a hard time getting them in any kinda box without really pushing up the seat...so i did some P3 shallow mounts, and raised the back seat to keep from weight pushing down on the subs when people sit in the back..u might struggle a bit too with that mounting depth

I am hoping to redo the front jump seat into a box/center console thing

I've been wanting to build one of those seats/box for a while just haven't had the time. Have the plans and pics to do it. Had a fellow buddy tell me about it. He made one for his dads truck. Said it sounds good. But you have to be careful of what sub you use. either need a shallow or you need to locate some things.

I ended up raising my seat and seatbelts up 2" with some custom brackets. Now I just need to make the box.
